Hi there-
I'm Lottie, a wedding and newborn photographer. In my free time I love to travel the world, explore the outdoors, and I'm an aspiring yogi.  I don't watch a whole lot of TV, but you better believe every Monday I'm stuck on watching the Bachelor and/or Bachelorette when it's on, my favorite guilty pleasure! I'm married to this super sweet guy named Ben, and a momma to our sassy little fur baby named Harley.

I've heard people say that your job shouldn't define you. But to me it completely does because I find myself immersed in doing something I love and feel super passionate about. I wasn't always a photographer...  I was actually in the fitness industry for 18 years, and I recently switched from having photography as a hobby to making it into a thriving career.  It was scary to change careers mid-life, but completely worth it.

To me, photography isn't just a job... It's my life, it's my dream, it's something that lights me up.

What inspired you to become a photographer?
I felt I needed a career change and I always loved photos.

What's your favorite photo that you've taken?

I took a photo of my hand holding my dad's just before he passed away in the nursing home. It was in that moment that I realized how many times he held my hand while I was growing up.

What's your dream project?

To write a book.

What's your favorite subject to photograph?

Two things- People in love and newborns.

What other artists inspire you?
I'm inspired by music artists!  Especially singer/songwriters. Too many to list!

If you could go back ten years, what advice would you give yourself?
Most everything is temporary.

What's been your most memorable session and why?
I honestly can't narrow it down to one, I really love them all!

What's your favorite photography accessory (other than your camera)?
My camera strap.  It has "Storyteller" engraved on it.

What do you consider to be the ingredients for success in photography?
Practice, practice, practice.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? or add another question and answer!
My husband and I have discussed this many times... if we wanted to move somewhere we would! But we love it here and are close to our families. So we just travel a lot!
